I'm told - by an MHK - 18 cases now, hair salon a big issue. Imminent lockdown.

But it's conjecture.

Someone at hospital said 12 so 3/4 different figures and they were waiting to hear if any lockdown as it causes severe issues for patients appointments etc

Aye but Guernsey do a damn sight better job of being transparent and disseminating detailed info.

Here on the Isle of Man (Where You Can) the continue to treat us like children who must be shielded from the truth.

Indeed, we'll all run round in a mad "unnecessary panic".

And the result of that is people start behaving like children expecting Da Quayle or Ma Ewart to sort it, with big brother Ashy pulling our pigtails every now and then just for devilment.

That was the initial idea

Indeed it was...........but we now have text-book (in military parlance)'mission creep'.

First, 'Save the NHS' and we'll start the ease-up; then 'once all the over 50s are vaccinated we'll start the ease-up'; then 'we need the case rate to reduce below 1000 before we ease-up'................and now this the fantasy of eradication.

The nation governance has been hijacked by the medical/scientific establishment who have seen its chance to emerge into the sunlight provided in bucket-loads by our invertebrate politicians.

BTW, 'Mission creep' is nearly always the politicians' arse-covering back-up in recognition of the fact that they screwed-up in the first place.
