Ooh! I see Jersey have a contact tracing app. How long before Howard wants one?

ETA Just installed it. Looks quite good. Probably crap myself if I get an alert.

Is there an Isle of Man contact tracing App?

We have Manx solutions for Manx problems.

We have Maude down the way who keeps an eye out and writes down car numbers that she doesn't recognise, and she can assure you that little Timmy saw Susie mingling with someone who had a cough, and that their gran was known for a bad chest.

Not any more it seems.

The nurse staff shortage at Nobles needs to be exposed. It is becoming desperate.

Actual overtime for staff is now authorised.

Someone needs to ask DHSC Minister to make a statement on staffing in Nobles and around.

Rightly or wrongly, Dr Ewart has become the figurehead of DHSC policy, and catcher of Ashford's hot potatoes in briefings. I don't like how the IOMG go for the trying to blind us with sciencey words when there is a question that's a controversial topic, or something a Minister isn't clear on.

Whether she has any real capability to effect change that is against the tide of the dynamic duo is something I'm not sure on. You see what happens if you don't nod, agree and say "Yes Minister".

I don't agree with disparaging her for a PhD in history, a PhD is about the transferable skills you pick up as a researcher. She can apply those to the background in medicine she already has.

Hey! We agree. You see it was possible after all.

Good post BTW

I can’t see how there’s any confusion. If I was letting a mate have something at cost, it would be the purchase invoice price to me. Literally what it cost me.

Err. Yeah but what if the invoice was miles more than you expected.

Anyway. Again. Moot point. It was free not cost. This has been confirmed. :D

It's all anonymous and pointless.

Do you understand how it works?

It sounds like you don’t.

The idea is, your identity is anonymous to everyone else and vice versa.

But, you get a notification if you’ve come across someone else who has tested positive within a certain set of criteria. Your device makes these decisions based on what the Health Service has set.

It adds nothing of value.

Plus it brings you closer to Big Brother style monitoring.
