Level 2 is where there is a rolling seven day average of 6-10 community cases and measures such as social distancing and face coverings come into force. Lockdown comes in at level 4.

How does that tie in with the reasons given for spending so much and taking so long to get Chester Street open? Presumably those providing health services in Peel and elsewhere realise that there are people in their area who aren't housebound but equally able to make a long return trek to wherever they have been allocated. Rather than denouncing them as malingerers as Ashford and his minions have been doing, they are making sure they get their jabs somewhere locally. Maybe it will even have skirting boards, so they don't feel they are missing out. There is a worry that the insistence on using the hubs will mean that a lot of those who should get vaccinated won't because they feel uncertain about making the journey and "Don't want to make a fuss". Only 81% of the "80+" cohort have had a jab and only 52% of those who have are over 80 (the rest are "frontline health and social care workers"

jaymann
A good outcome. But one must wonder if yesterday's ridiculous briefing and 'advice' was really worth it.

They told us to be careful for 24 hours whilst they figured out the situation when it looked like there was a problem. As soon as there was an update, they pushed it out saying the issue wasn’t as bad as expected, so life can continue as normal.
