AcousticallyChallenged
Just now, John Wright said: Is it the daily average, or the 7 day average? If it’s the latter it’s 3 and another 4 days to go. As I understand it, it's the sum of the past 7 days divided by the 7 days.

I think it’s the number of cases over the 7 days. Its the rolling 7 day average, not the daily average over a rolling 7 days.

TheTeapot
Throughout the course of this pandemic the absolute ignorance, selfishness and stupidity of much of humanity has really come to the fore. It has been depressing if sadly unsurprising seeing it unfold. The same thing continues to occur on this forum.

If we get into the pattern that every time there’s a handful of cases that we’ll by default lock down for a month we’ve got no hope really.
Kopek
Visited venues listed seem to include a number of Cafes! Does this indicate a Coro symptom as increased appetite? ????. Maybe it's the family cook saying, '' I didn't know what time the boat would get in, so we'll have to eat out''!!! However, it could indicate the type of people who could be the danger? A person working in Douglas would be unlikely to eat in Patrick? An early diner in Laxey could well be a Ramseyite on the way home? Someone Bussing to the Wild Life Park is likely to be a Family? Were their Kids running around the Cafe when you were in??? All info and context could help one to narrow down their contact risk? All contact tracing presumes a 'Responsible Person', what about the belligerent buggers who don't want to be isolated? 1
Len Trench
On this evening’s news a Labour politician is accusing the UK Gov of “too little too late” regarding the Brazil variant, that is a year of that quote. A whole bloody year.

A whole bloody year. But then there was also the stunning revelation that 4 of the Brazilian cases were tracked down to a flight to Scotland from ... São Paulo. Funny that after a year Boris Johnson’s government still hasn’t worked out that different variants are arriving in the UK because they’re still letting people fly in from different places. While everyone who lives in the UK is locked down!
