Jersey is being quite ballsy on tourism opening back up.

I suppose they’ve just got used to living with it and have the processes in place to manage any outbreaks. It all seems to be on the back of vaccination potentially lessening the strain on the hospitals etc. By the look of it so far we’ll still be living in Brigadoon in September when they’re opening up from the end of May.

Does this coincide with the removal of their isolation rules?  I can't find anything to say it does but am half asleep

Repercussions?

Yes.

The lockdown will be extended even further now in my view.

I anticipate more MHKs will come out to criticise the exit plan and the wisdom of our current decision makers.

'We're plateauing and coming off the peak" - this is the scientific analysis provided by H Ewart, PhD (History).

Where does this weird fake news come from?  Probably your warped head.

You can look up all UK medics on the GMC website.  This shows that Hetty is a registered practitioner and has been on the public health specialist register since 1996.  She graduated from the University of London in 1983, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, which by convention allows her to be referred to as Dr Ewart.  PhDs are a higher degree, but you don't need one to be called doctor in the medical world.

Any extension of a lockdown will have nothing to do with someone dying.  That's odd.

Just my view at the moment.

Out of respect for the family though I think we should leave it there.

What's the source of that made up figure?

If you have to ask the question you won't understand the answer.

It's (probably) a quote that is used in legal circles too.

if todays news doesn't wake a few people up it bloody should do. This thing still has sting in it's tail.

Call me what you like, but there is no reason why the can't  publish Gibralter style information to us regading the awful death.

Big difference between someone who had been to the UK for severe cancer treatment, contracted COVID off island, and then died in Nobles, to 42 year old Dave who was working and fit until last week when he picked it up from his kid at QE2 and is now dead when he otherwise wouldn't have been.

Condolences to friends and family but context is required to allow others to make their own assessments of the risk
