Lewis Posted March 12, 2021 Share Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) Regarding the sad death of someone from "the older age group", it seems likely that they had not been vaccinated or at least not for long enough for sufficient immunity to have been established. May explain the reticence to confirm either way. Looking at the numbers, if the vaccinations had started when they could have done in December and they had jabbed right up to the stock available, ie not insisted on 10k kept in stock, by now all over 65s would have been jabbed and over 70s at least a couple of weeks ago. A more timely decision to delay 2nd jabs would have made that even earlier. Platitudes like "its not a race" and "its better to do it right than quickly" don't sound so smug now, just complacent.
