A birthday present for a neighbour who needed serious cheering up last spring went missing and he did everything he could to help (to no avail, sadly). Even gave me his personal phone number. Hermes itself was useless. Agree. The guy who delivers to us is a good egg who I went to school with. Same with the personal number, on pain of death if I pass it on to anyone else. He has access to my summerhouse and will often leave parcels for the houses either side of me when the occupants are out, which helps make his job easier too.
