The first one is booked to visit early July. MNH will close the doors of agreed attractions, exclude the Manx tax payer public for the day, herd the cruisers onto coaches and bus them round with no human contact.

No human contact - Apart from with the bus driver, the tour guide and the MNH site staff at an absolute minimum.

Well if you’ve never been on one you wouldn’t know, we’ve been on most of the large lines & MSC are by far the best. It’s more continental type food rather than Pie & chips & English food like you’d be used to in bunker

You can always guarantee something negative from Pongo!!

Do these cruise ships actually being any money into the island, particularly when they'll only be going to a few select MNH sites?

Don't worry.  The bus driver will refuse to take them because they aren't  keyworkers,  so they'll never get off the ship.

They probably cost a lot of money to get them here, as DfE regards its main purpose as spending government money, that's no problem.

Delusional again , a £800m super ship is down market FFS get a life, suppose a week in Skegness is Pongo sophistication!!

But look at what they are actually offering: A cod recreation of Asian cooking. A food hall. Water slides. A robot barman and Lego.

That's not aimed at a sophisticated clientele. It's more like a floating shopping centre.

Dr Glover to give evidence to PAC and it will be broadcast.

That'll be nice.

Let’s hope it’s no holds barred, warts & all.

It could be an uncomfortable briefing for HQ, DA & HE following the evidence if the press get a voice.

I'm half hoping for something along the lines of george galloway when he addressed the US senate. I realise i should not even be part hoping this but i am. In fact three quarters.

AshFord said yesterday that he wasn’t bothered in slightest about what Rachel had to say and was very fulsome in his praise of her
