Those 2 posts are all you take out of recent events? The shame is on you sir,

I have never sought to discredit anyone though. I have my view on the value of genomic sequencing. I have made that clear on many occasions. I have no view on the fall out between government and Dr Glover as I just don't know enough about it. I listen with interest and disappointment.

Changing the subject from Glover gate, looks like UK will introduce traffic light system for foreign travel, we should use similar for uk travel as Channel Islands use.

I don't think the Isle of Man is for you. Seriously.

Maybe now is the time for you to up and go. If you don't fancy UK, you could try CI.

The whole transcript revolves around “she said”/ “they said” and until concrete evidence has been produced to prove one way or the other I would be very wary of jumping to conclusions

I might be watching too many re-runs of "The Thick of It" (curtsey of the entirely avoidable lockdowns if IOMG was following the science and Dr Glover, it seems), but my understanding is that if Dr Glover has deliberately misled the PAC then she has committed a (criminal?) offence. I am therefore assuming that everything that Dr Glover has said in the yesterday's hearing is more or less true. I am also assuming that she would have taken a legal advice before giving her testimony.

I also believe that if the IOMG does not accept that what Dr Glover has said was not truthful or was materially misleading, then they have an obligation to set the record straight. In the absence of any evidence to the contrary, then I say 'let the record stand' as Dr Glover described it.

You make a good point of course, but at the heart of all this, the Isle of Man is...the Isle of Man. You either get it or you don't.

Too many people these days don't get it.

Now, more than ever the Isle of Man needs to assert its identity and not, not, not be just another county of UK.

Aye, you either get it or you don't. If you don't there's a ...........ah, forget it.

It wasn't taken down from her Twitter account, it's still there, but she said the nomination itself had mysteriously disappeared from the website or Facebook.  It actually looks as if all the 'news' section has been deleted, which rather contradicts the whole 'we want to celebrate all these people' vibe.

The 'Extraordinary People' awards were run by Isle of Man Advertising and they clearly didn't want anyone who did anything controversial going forward to the public vote and upsetting anyone.  So it's all rainbows and cupcakes and determinedly trying to avoid reality.

James Davis is Head of Media, Isle of Man Advertising. He was formerly Manx Radio of course and was well respected but where I would suggest he was squeezed out during the dumbing down days.,

When Manx Radio had the Morning Mandate programme and interviews with politicians etc, you can be sure Dr Rachel Glover would have been interviewed on a number of occasions.

But The Nations Station (cost to the taxpayer £1million per annum) has been well and truly neutered and brought/bought onside. On message.

The Isle of Man Government now has an array of media types (including a number of former Manx Radio personnel) to try and control what the people of the Isle of Man are fed.

Sometimes the lid is going to blow off the pressure cooker.

More likely it's speculation generated by the election on the 6th May.
