Because of this stupid 12 weeks between jabs, reasonably few (about 22%) have had both jabs. Most of those are healthcare workers, care home residents and the very elderly. There is still a heck of a lot of work to be done in protecting the vulnerable. Getting those jabs in is more important than rushing to open borders. 4 1

Completely opening the border should be possible. IOM residents must be allowed to travel freely Edited April 18, 2021 by snowman

It doesn't say Ministers and senior civil servants will answer questions about the Island's third coronavirus lockdown next week. On Monday, the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee will take oral evidence about government decisions made in February and March. Appearing before the committee will be Education Minister Alex Allinson and Health Minister David Ashford as well as Director of Public Health Henrietta Ewart. The committee says it may meet in person where the public can attend, or it will stream proceedings online.

So is that before or after the pubs have been open for a few hours? 9am, 11, 2pm It doesn't say, hence the question. If I have a meeting I don't just tell people what day it is on

Pretty sure you knew what he meant though and you just took the opportunity to be nasty.

John Wright
And 2 new ( travel related ) cases. Even with “ultra low” infection rates in UK. And here is the rub, we don’t know if they were day 1, 7 or 14. We don’t get told. Any decision making on easing borders, reducing quarantine periods and testing, has to have those figures. Why aren’t they published?

Well yes it should so that businesses can prepare and take bookings and people can plan their lives. It is only 5 weeks from now (and should be sooner)

Why aren’t they published? Having lived here most of my life I have noticed a local trait that a Manx thing to do is if you know something is to keep it to yourself even if it will help others. It seems to give the person with the "knowledge" a feeling of superiority and a boost that they love that they know more than you do? Some of that attitude going on? 1

The 3a with reduced isolation will be announced after Tynwald, then further easing in May. Basically copying Guernsey model on traffic light system but paying Warwick university to model scenario for them. Workshops were held last week for Tynwald members working through various options/scenarios & getting feedback. As Howie says we have to learn to live with Covid !!!
