Police arrested someone else last night, 64 yr old male, night in the cells, court this morning and jailed for 4 weeks. Grassed in by the public again.

The police and other authorities are very proactive in cases like this, which is a good thing. Except nothing has been done regarding the breach of COVID-19 regulations by the visiting Jersey Care Home Executives ( Businesspeople). I would have more faith if they are either brought back to the island, immediate court hearing, and sentencing, They should then be banned for 5 years.

Some of them will have to come back here sometime because of their legal responsibilities, no doubt they will be dealt with then.  The fact that they’re in Jersey has no doubt created difficulties in dealing with them.

If we can stretch it a few more months I'm sure it can be conveniently forgotten about!

Looks like Jersey have put real investment into testing, 2000 per day capacity. Not sure what Iom capacity is now.

A very forward thinking & intelligent approach to the complexity of the issue.

The Jersey Government certainly seem to be handling this situation very well & their updates welcomed by their public.

When was our last Govt briefing? 30th July?

What plans have we been putting in place? That’s right - grass up next door.

Thanks, just clicked the link.

I feel enlightened in a ‘It’s told me nothing about how they plan to open the borders’ kind of way.

Howies still on holiday along with rest of comin, so whilst Jersey & Guernsey get in with opening up our lot are nowhere to be seen!!

You can pretty much guarantee we’ll decide to open up right on the stroke of flu season.

Then chaos will reign supreme. It’s the Manx way.

The next briefing will make for very interesting viewing.

TT2021 will be in real jeopardy soon.

Guernsey aren't opening. Its 14 days but with an option for 7 and test. This however is based on your travel history https://covid19.gov.gg/guidance/travel/phase5b

Fairly confident there will be no TT 2021 (and possibly no future one's also).

Well Jersey is 14 days without a test , Guernsey is test on 7th day and out 8th if negative. No one sane will elect for 14 days.

Guernsey statement says we have to start opening up so stop spouting rubbish
