I don’t think DBC push sand and shingle up the beach.

Beach height and composition is a mix of factors.

Its cyclical. Look at photos of the prom over the last 150 years. Sometimes the beach has been to walkway level, sometimes it hasn’t.

Changes occur naturally and as a result of human intervention, things like sea walls, groynes, breakwaters.

But the main effect is the Canute effect. Nature!

You are correct. Obviously. However, the slightest bit of annual maintenance would negate the current situation

 The answer is so simple.

That may well be a decision  driven more by Santander and any large corporates who have taken tables at it.

Feel sorry for the Palace.

Don’t feel at least sorry for the Palace. Gave them a few hundred pounds deposit for an event weeks before the first lockdown. Obviously the event could not go ahead but trying to get the money back was like getting blood from a stone. E mails were not replied to for months and in the end had to do a cash back thing from my bank who were very good.

There was no upfront cost for them and had I not pursued this with my bank I would not have got my money back. Won’t spend another penny in that place.

What a loser , let me know which ones you go to so I can avoid!

No pub is going to ask every person who comes in for a pint their details, get a life!

I'm sure that decent businesses will follow the guidelines.

Perhaps not the places you go.

DBC have exacerbated the problem by creating a perpetual non-job for the boys

DBC maintains this perpetual, very lucrative, ratepayer funded non-job for an elected DB Councillor IIRC?

Looking forward to supporting businesses which follow the recommendations.

Feel free - that's your right, while you still have any. But please don't wear your tin-foil helmet and respirator; you'll give the game away.

I shall boycott any face-nappy insisting business.

Nope. It's just Corbyn's brother and co. Nobody serious at all.

There is the mainstream media and there is the fringe media - bloggers, conspiracy nutters and people with a YouTube show.

Being reported there were around 100k. That's a lot of nobodies
