Have you seen what is happening in the UK? They haven't all had second jabs and are easing restrictions. Gladys
Isn't the point that no information is better than inaccurate information? Just caught the end of a hospital fly on the wall which trailered the next episode to cover an accelerated recruitment drive for nurses, from India. Not sure where that sits in: A. Keeping the Indian variant out B. The ethics of tempting Indian nurses away when their own country is facing such dire health challenges C. The way that nurses are paid and valued in the NHS. It reveals a fundamental defect in health strategy that affects the IOM's service delivery too.

They employ small aircraft, and the probability is that the flights you want are almost full. Nothing more sinister, or opportunistic, than that. Anyway, easyJet have loads of seats to Gatwick, around those dates for under £40 each way.

Nothing on the 25th By the way, I wrote the every weekend late June, July onwards the prices have doubled or tripled. Nothing to do with a few seat being sold Logan air have done a UK network wide revision today of routes and fairs. IOM has just been given its dollop of shit from them by preparing to gouge the hard working people who want to travel to see friends and family Edited May 11, 2021 by snowman

Or the fact that in exchange for removing freedom of movement rights from EU citizens the UK government has just given them to Indians so they can travel, study, fill the low paid jobs. They've trippled prices from end of June onwards for the weekend away market...into July etc Two things. Final Manx Airlines flight to Heathrow standard fare cost more than that 20+ years ago. The IOM Government subsidy will have been pulled from that date. Loganair are a commercial company. They aim to make a profit. The budget airline booking capacity/demand/rate of sale or enquiry price algorithm is well known. Remember what happened to EZY prices when Flybe went pop. Last few seats went through the roof. Makes £290 seem cheap. No one will have sat at LoganAir offices and said let’s gouge IOM route pricing. They will have looked at scheduling and said, either, too little demand to run OR with SeaCat back on there's too much capacity OR, possibly, we’ve other routes we can make more on. Its an artificial market until EZY return. It’s an exit from pandemic market until all border and UK internal restrictions go. Saturday has always seen fewer flights historically. For months last year the airport closed to passenger traffic on Saturday.

I will be astounded (and extremely dissapointed) if they don't announce the border dates are moving forward tomorrow. They are rightly facing huge pressure to do it and there is no justification not to. Figures in UK are already at levels where their own framework says we should be ahead of where we are.
