What would be the practical benefit right now of spending so much money on testing? How do you imagine it would improve the economy significantly, vs the cost?

To check no one arriving has virus obviously, the same reason most countries do it including Jersey & Guernsey.

you think the existing loose self isolation will keep it out indefinitely then think again.

If necessary make arrivals pay as Howie suggested already

If any new cases happen then the cautious and vulnerable will retreat into their homes again and this will certainly have a very negative effect on the High Street and cafe’s, restaurants and other businesses, this fact seems to have eluded the idiots who are screaming for the borders to be opened.  As well as this Noble’s is just about getting very slowly back on track of sorts it is not just the elderly who are waiting for operations and investigations if Covid gets hold there will be more deaths because all the attention will once again be focused on Covid.   More businesses will suffer because I cannot see any more money being made available to support them again.   We are doing ok at the moment enjoying freedom and ticking over.   Just chill and accept this inconvenience will pass.

They should have been there from day one. No need for anyone else to have been locked down at all.

It's a not very funny joke that after around a hundred Covid free day's Noble's is ( as well as the rest of government) still in lockdown!

That’s all part of the general malaise that’s being created. Why they couldn’t be back up fully in 4 to 6 weeks like everyone else is anyone’s guess.

No I read your post. It was shit because you’re clearly a complete knobber Neil. If you’re that worried just stay indoors for another few years posting shite on the internet.

Not in lockdown at all. Lots of things like wards had to be rearranged fir obvious reasons, clinics were changed and used for different purposes. There is far and away more to the reasons for closure of different services than you may think.
