Lots of TT fans would have happily been on island for a break this week despite there being no racing, plus the UK are mainly on half term.

Opportunity missed

Where is your evidence for this...?

Biker forums. Biker groups in FB. Friends in the Uk.

Why? Do you think if we were open there wouldn’t be people heading here in their thousands? I beg to differ.

Links?

Look yourself.  Not sure what point you are trying to make.

There are loads of people waiting to come over.  Just because you don’t associate with any of them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

I have loads of biker friends who are checking every week to see when they can come.  Lots of them had this week and last booked off as they do every year.

Our home stay guests of the last 8 years will be here as soon as they can book. They aren’t unusual amongst their friends.

Biking is a community, it is just a few thousand ransoms who turn up completely independently.  They are friends who come to meet like minded people, owners clubs, lots have long term friends here who they come back to.

I met a group of Hells Angels last week who I have known for years.  To them, going to a meet is going “to church”.  If you don’t believe me no don’t understand the scene then fair enough, but they are all ready to come and spend their hard earned TT or not.

Granted with the benefit of hindsight, I don’t see why bikes couldn’t have been racing here today.

The Indy 500 ran with 135,000 spectators last weekend and events are starting up again all over with a bit of thought applied to how they can be run.

So I think we could have had a modified TT and absolutely shouldn’t have cancelled the MGP and FOM

Marshals.

No chance.

Certainly. USA stuck to the Pfizer etc 3-4 week schedule. They are opening up rapidly now. Uk has seen its mistake and desperately trying to catch up. We are on holiday. Idiots!

Only 40 percent of those who attended had been vaccinated with at least one dose.  Many of them at the circuit in the week or two before.

I guess you didn’t know that?

You're doing Homestay when there's no TT? How does that work then?

No.

I said our honestly guests will be here as soon as they can book.

They our are our regular honestly guests for TT.  Unless I missed it I don’t believe that forbids them from coming and booking themselves into paid accommodation when a TT isn’t running?

Why do so many people find it hard to believe there are people who want to come here and that we are currently missing an opportunity?

If you are that perplexed join one of the huge and busy TT groups on FB, start a post asking if any of those not here this year would have come this week if they had been allowed and see what response you get.

Yes, but as a country, the majority of those most states risk (over 50, etc) have been double jabbed. Indy is an outdoor event that usually takes place on a hot sunny day, which is perfect conditions for killing airborne virus.
