The whole point of talk back radio (all of it everywhere) is that they deliberately create controversy and argument in order to engage the kind of idiots who listen to it.

Nobody serious appears, calls, presents or listens.

A  doctor and ex MP isn't a serious contributor?  He may be a nutter, but his credentials will give him exactly that, credence.

It's a set up to trigger and engage the audience. Either strongly in favour or strongly against some position. Some topic of the day. Same as the tabloids have done for years. Even to the point of upsetting the listeners. Keep people tuned in and sell advertising. It's all incredibly stupid.

Yes & their listener base primarily voted Brexit.

That was never going to happen was it.

Don't ever underestimate public opinion. The great British public can only take so much, they know when they are being kidded.

7 day average positivity rate - 0.6%

Positive cases in hospital - still about as low as they have ever been.

Just for a bit of balance and all that.

Its not looking likely.

Currently at 92. Be interesting what Jersey do as 100 is their trigger point to go back a step.

30 is still stated in our border framework

Then both we and Jersey need to re evaluate those stupid figures ASAP.

We said here weeks ago they weren’t achievable and that there needs to be a new way of measuring perceived risk, because rising “cases” in a vaccinated population with reducing restrictions certainly isn’t it.

I absolutely agree

We have heard nothing (officially) recently from Government. Makes you wonder if

A. COMIN are beavering away adapting a plan to give us clear information so we know what to plan or

B. They think the 28th June is so far away that they can stick their heads in the sand and pretend its not happening

For context can you please post data for hospitalisations & deaths (for the same period)?

Quite.

You have to remember that Bozo's so-called "management" of the pandemic has been literally catastrophic. With tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths. This is his last chance to make the right call.

They are due to make their decision on the 14th June. With the infection rate rising by 60% over the last 7 days I suspect it could go either way.

Or he could fudge the situation by bringing back the failed "tier" system back to the North West.

After all, he has previous....
