The vast majority of that waiting list was already there pre-Covid. The Conservatives have run England's NHS into the ground like they do with every industry prior to privatising it. Covid is just the latest in a long line of excuses for them.

True.  The “vast majority” of those on waiting lists were there already.  They have grown by about 10 percent since COVID.

Also true.  The “vast majority” of those who have died from COVID, would have died in 2020 or 2021 anyway.  Actual deaths in the UK from all causes now are actually very low, some say that is because COVID just slightly accelerated the death of the very vulnerable.

Read into that what you will.

Apparently it is OK to extend waiting lists and destroy peoples finances and mental health to give a few people who were going to die anyway a few more months.

There's a very strong possibility that Quayle and Ashford will bottle it on 28th June.

People that have had enough of these punitive lockdowns need to think how to resist.

This is why we need cases at the same prevalence as the UK.

Zero justification for them bottling it then

They will without doubt bottle it.

Some called it many months ago, alluding to the fact they’d spin this out all the way through to the elections.

As long as the hoteliers are alright though …..

Of course they will, which will be even stranger considering Ashford was on the radio the other day talking about the need to move away from focusing on cases.

There is no science anymore

In Scotland when the rate was 47 cases per 100k the government wouldn't allow football fans into a stadium or gather at a fanzone.

Now it's close to 150 cases per 100k they are allowing 12k into hampden for the euros and a fanzone holding 6k every day. Come back in a month and I bet Glasgow will be in tier 3 again (they are in tier 2 now)

Why?

Is it not selfish that what is now a tiny tiny percentage of people who might be at risk, would rather see us all locked up so that people with potentially years of their lives left are missing out on life saving treatment so as to minimise any risk of spread of a virus that is no longer an issue to most people?

What make those who are “vulnerable” to COVID not selfish when their wants and desires cause other untold suffering and pain, and in some cases loss of life.

Why is it you and the rest of the "Do what the CI's are doing whether it's appropriate or not.."  brigade on here not realise that ALL of us want things to return to as near what was normal ASAFP?

Instead of dripping and moaning on here, to absolutely no avail hence a total waste of time and bandwidth, why not write to your MHK starting with on what basis the limit would be 30/100k was decided on? If it turns out to be unnattainable what is their alternative?

And so on...

Did you just post on here to tell me that posting on here is pointless and a waste of bandwidth?
