Meanwhile, rumour has it that we might move to level 2.501. This is of course subject to data not dates.

Level 2.501 sees a significant change in that not only will family be able to visit as well as home owners but this level would see pet hamsters able to travel too.

i'd heard it was Gerbil's only as Ashy doesn't like that smug look hamsters give him when they get their wheel spinning really fast.

It's like Banker's (SP?) moan above about the expanding flights to the CI's etc etc which is simply that the carriers know that the CI's have nice weather hence a viable tourist industry so they will get bums on seats. What Banker expects IOMG to do about that God only knows.

The words " pissing in the wind" come to mind here...

I get the view that we have painted ourselves into a corner now, putting too much emphasis on the dates rather than data and I am not sure on what the Governments current strategy is now.

Maybe next weeks Tynwald should throw some light on where we are and where we are now headed in the short term. People saying 'we don't know' is not an option any more.

33k booked doses, 13k in stock.

Which would suggest they haven’t sent us any while the hubs were closed.

Someone really needs to be asking why they closed and if that decision impacted on our supply.

If we missed out on deliveries through closing then that is a disgrace.  It is bad enough already that they closed down.

Too easy, didn't think it would take long😂

Anyone would find brainlessly repeating the same refrain easy hence all it needs is a stock reply.

If you think that's somehow moving your cause forward, well, good luck with that one...

Wonder how long it will take to catch up every other jurisdictions which just cracked on instead of having 2 weeks holidays?

UK 55% fully vaccinated, Guernsey 52% , Jersey 93% of over 55 & 82% of 50-54

Meanwhile Gibraltar was fully vaccinated well over one month ago. Same supplier.

Give it a rest. It’s a worn record. We all know how you feel.

He is right though.

If they put the end of June back and use the lack of vaccinations as a reason, after 2 weeks of doing nothing while the rest of Britain have ramped things up, would we as a population not be right to be absolutely disgusted?  Especially those in hospitality and tourism l?

The system is.

1. the UK don’t have everything they’ve ordered delivered and in warehouses. It comes through from the manufacturers weekly and in differing amounts.

2. There is then an allocation, pro rata, per head, to England and each of the devolved nations, and the Crown Dependencies and the Overseas Territories.

3. The health authorities in the various jurisdictions then decide what to draw down, when and arrange transport.

4. They can leave stock in store in UK if they don’t want it immediately or don’t have storage.  It’s not lost, they can draw from the allocation later.

5. Gibraltar was a special case as 20,000 Spanish resident workers stream over the border to work, every day. They are everything from financial services, nurses, cleaners, etc. Spain was slow off the starting grid vaccination wise.

Now, why we didn’t fill the last fortnight with brought forward second doses or first doses is a peculiarly Manx thing. The justifications don’t hold water. I suspect they’ve just held off drawing down to avoid accusations of huge stockpiles and a cockup. At least we start again on Monday and the rest of 18+ who want to register for vaccination are now being invited.

One of the reasons first timers may not have been slotted in is because they’re mainly under 40 and going to get pfizer or moderna rather than Astra Zeneca. We aren’t told what the mix of stock held is.
