Only a slight change to the border. Read the memo on item 4.

Headline news: Move to level 1 postponed.

2 + 2 vaccination exception introduced.

No other border changes.

So if you have kids you're treated as if you are not vaccinated in respect of travelling off island?

Oh, and that comment on Robs page from Sonia Faragher.  Fucking do one Sonia

Looking at the regulations, if the kid is under 5, they're exempt. If they're over 5, they get tested on day 0 like anyone else.

I imagine a lot of people in their 20s may be delaying trips away by a month to take advantage of the 2+2 rules.

28th?

It would appear so, it seems to be a replacement for the move to level 1, but admittedly it's not very clear.

  1. At present, whilst it is not considered appropriate to move to Borders Level 1, or Level 2, offering the 2 + 2 vaccination exemption and the extension of the UK/Channel Islands test and release pathway to travellers who have been in Ireland is considered to represent a low and acceptable level of additional risk.

Interesting that Eire is going to be included too.

Why would we need a test on arrival area? Honestly? Short term and for very limited numbers, given 2 + 2.

Manannan starts soon so lots more boat space. So few Manx are double jabbed, many will want to get away with kids this summer, there will be lots of testing (and positive cases).

I suppose the potential problem here will be not enough transport options for people to utilise.  But at the same time you're not getting Easyjet back until they can fill each plane.
