What got me about it was this in the Manx Radio piece:

In a statement from the Cabinet Office it says it contacted Hospice Isle of Man to find out whether the chief minister could still attend.

The charity replied that he could, and carried out a risk assessment, and put in place "a number of measures to protect patients and on-duty care staff".

So it's not even that they forgot or were careless - they asked for it.  The charity isn't going to say no - they won't want to offend the Chief Minister and all those powerful civil servants - and had to do all sort of extra things to cope.

A Sealed Bio-Bubble? Gown, Mask and gloves a la Surgeon Quayle?

Joking aside, we have a first rate plonker leading us, and you will see on Tynpotwald Day, the serfs doffing their caps and praising him and Ashie - the other plonker as some sort of heroes. Not an ounce of common sense between them.

Now that our borders are effectively open, why are we not filling the empty Ben with Uk staycationers.  We could encourage them with almost free boat trips and it would hugely assist our hard-pressed hospitality providers.  Needs an ad on national TV to let them all know the Island’s open….guess that will never happen.

Disney in America is now fully open no masks anywhere for the double jabbed, apart from on the bus.

Normality is coming

Full house for Turkey vs France in Budapest yesterday.

How come Spain is an amber country when the infection rate is far lower than the uks.

It seems pretty clear that Quayle's visit to Hospice Isle of Man broke the law.

This wasn't some rule that could be flexed or waived by Hospice. It was the law as set out by Comin/Tynwald. That's black and white. He was there and it was within 10 days of visiting the Island.

People have lost their liberty for far less in the last 16 months. This cannot just be brushed aside he wants it to be.

Question for JW  or Derek.

Does a member of the public have to make a complaint to the Police about this for an investigation to take place into this?
