IOM Covid removing restrictions

Anyone who has visited the UK can testify that mitigation is simply being paid lip service both by people visiting  pubs and those employed. For example NHS track and trace app....you can scan the QR code to sign in to a venue and then moments later delete the venue from your history. It's a complete charade in the UK.

Mask on when you walk in and to the toilet but mask off at the table

Covididiots do it. Defeats the object really. You need to take the mask off of having a drink, unless you can use a straw.

I’m trying to work out what these new rules coming into force tomorrow regarding fully vaccinated people not having to isolate if they are contact traced as close contacts. Does close contacts include people you live with? Ie if someone in your house is COVID positive if you are fully vaccinated can you go about your normal life, work etc? Or does close contact just mean friend you’ve been socialising with, colleague you’ve worked with etc? Can’t find any clarification online, if anyone’s seen anything can they point me in the right direction?

It’s exactly as written, if any close contact has had two jabs they don’t need to isolate, that’s why people are rightfully worried because the IOM is the only place advertising double vax as some sort of miracle cure that doesn’t cause spread.

In the UK, as soon as you sit down you can take the mask off. Irrespective of whether you actually have a drink or food on the table. It's all for show.

Over 55 yeat old were called way before end of April.

You are correct. Mine was 28th March. I was a month out.

However @thommo2010 is still in the minority with just 1% of next weeks in the line up for jab 2. I think @John Wrights analysis is correct. In 3 weeks, yes the under 50s come though in waves as everyone from 30 to 49 is one cohort.

Our new policy from tomorrow should be.

Thank me later.

Close your eyes really tight, children, and naughty Mr Covid will go away!

Some testing at St. Ninians seems likely

Well if the staff have had their two jabs then by the governments own logic the 6 close contacts won’t need to be tested, nor will they need to isolate, so I can only assume they either haven’t had two jabs or the government are saying one thing and doing the other.
