Correct.  The backlog of people who have had treatment delayed is really starting to kick in now

It comes after hospital trusts across the country have been inundated with record numbers of patients.

Tens of thousands of Brits have had surgeries and treatments pushed back due to the pandemic ravaging the health system.”

So just to be clear.  The issue isn’t COVID patients or related to the increase in cases. It is due to so many people having treatment delayed over recent months.

Awful, but I am not sure what anyone can do about it other than prioritising those most in need.

Would you link to the source of your copy & paste quote above please? I'd like to read it in its entirety.

Thank you. :flowers:

Exactly.

When someone tries to be funny and list what are actually amongst the worst towns in Britain.

They are still all better than our capital. Which is a dump, but still the dump on island with the most going for it.

Just fuck off yeah?

List me three things about the island you can’t get better elsewhere in Britain, that aren’t old wheels that don’t work, or civil service pensions?

I know some here like to compare notes with Jersey. So here's today's update:

Effective from 13th July

– Traffic light system is scrapped.

– if you’re fully vaccinated you will need a test on arrival and don’t need to isolate.

– if you’re not fully vaccinated you will need a test on arrival and Day 8, and isolate until your first negative test result.

– if you’ve visited a country on England’s International restricted list, you will need a test on arrival, Day 5 and Day 10, and isolate until Day 10 negative test result.

Seriously? All English high streets are waiting to be pulled down too. High street retail of that kind is over.

But the IOM is basically much more like Cornwall - but with good internet connectivity and a relatively much more successful economy. And without having to put up with millions of tourists every weekend, thank goodness. Let's keep it like that.

These days the island is excellent and getting better.
