Just not at the same rate as they would in an unvaccinated population. The North East and Yorkshire are proving particular concern because of how cases are rising in vaccinated age groups. Vaccination rates aren’t vastly different either. Yes. That's inevitable isn't it. The hospitalisation rate will always have a proportionality to the infection rate. Its what that proportionality is . If its a low factor then its not a problem and that seems to be the case Consider this; If COVID 19 started now, with todays figures, would we be worried or would it struggle to even make the BBC news. Would it be like a winter flu outbreak. 4 deaths in the Uk yesterday. Sad yes, but really?, would it be big news?

Now we know C-19 is likely to be around forever & can still be passed on to those twice vaccinated, the ammunition has been reloaded & the pistol cocked. More restrictions, more fear, more control … forever. ’They’ want your lives.

You’re sat on a social media platform on a device whose entire ecosystem is around figuring out who you are and how money can be made from that. It can be used to change the course of history through elections, guide who you choose to socialise with and where you choose to go. As well as where you choose to spend your money. And this is hoovered up by government worldwide into an easily searchable database. Never mind that a smartphone also knows where you go, how you walk, the speeds you drive, when you’re awake and asleep. People pay for listening devices in their home as a luxury, and add recording cameras for good measure. Modern cars will even watch you to make sure you’re paying attention. Yet, you tell me we need a pandemic for control. 6

Ramseyboi
Nice to see the doom merchants already predicting “hospitalisations” Difficult to know how to counter it without being very blunt when it has already been pointed out why that isn’t an issue in previous pages. COVID is currently running through all island schools and loads of workplaces. That is obvious. Without testing we would think it was a few people with hay fever or a cold. Far more people have it than we will ever know. Some of those people will get admitted to hospital for broken arms, heart attacks, appendicitis etc over the next few weeks. Because they are tested on arrival they will be logged as “cases in hospital” Jersey currently have 6, and a total of 10 in recent months I believe. About half of these are said to be for non covid reasons but still go in the figures. A very small number might end up in hospital purely because of COVID symptoms. Typically now these are young people who are in for a couple of days then go home. Some of those people with heart attacks etc may end up in ICU. Unfortunately there are pretty much always people in ICU. As the percentage of COVID increases then the chances of those people testing positive increases. That’s how proportionately works. People will continue to die of other things. Especially the old and vulnerable and even those with two jabs. If they happen to test positive after their fatal heart attack at 74 and with a 30 year history of heart problems and obesity they will still show in our figures as in hospital, in ICU, and dead with COVID. When in reality it isn’t a factor. Most of the above was the case 12 months ago, but then the chances of a COVID infection becoming relevant to the care of those who had it was much higher. Those days no one was vaccinated. No one knows exactly what will happen now but the smart money is on COVId running through the island for a while and is not knowing if we weren’t testing. A tiny number of people will be sick. Some kids will get “long COVID” which seems similar to post viral fatigue that people have suffered from since time began and generally get over in a few months (I didn’t and still have low energy levels but don’t 100 percent know if this is what it’s just like to be 50) In 3 months we will have all forgotten about it. Other than those who lost their businesses, homes, mental health, or the small number who lost loved ones. Most of whom if we are being brutally honest would have succumbed to flu or plenty of other ailments if they had been unfortunate enough to get them. Cracking weather this weekend. Island full of tourists. Bands in Port Erin. Cav at the Villa and no more pointless isolation. Let’s be positive and live our lives while we can eh? 7
