There are plenty of countries that will restrict what you can do based on vaccination status against various things.

In France, you can't go to state school without being vaccinated. This has been the case there for years.

Italy are tightening restrictions for unvaccinated by withdrawing option to provide negative tests to enter hospitality

There were trains and trams running over the weekend, but for lesiure only, not essential travel.

It's ok, the virus said it only infects people on essential travel.

So if you unmask and eat a mars bar on the bus it will get you. But if you go on the dining car and eat a 3 course Christmas Dinner then you're safe.

All makes sense 🤣

I know you’re probably just trying to be funny, but seeing this sort of statement all the time I wonder if there are people who genuinely don’t get it. We’re living with the virus, we have the freedom to make our own risk assessments, but not to the extent that we can impact on others who may have no alternative to be there. So, if you want your dinner on the train feel free to unmask and get on with it, nobody has to be there. But if you have to be on the bus to get to work, you shouldn’t have to be subjected to some inconsiderate git eating a mars bar in the seat next to you.

Hooperman is on the NPM this morning whinging like anything about pressure on the 111 service. No shit Sherlock.

Blaming the UK Government for changing the rules of vaccination from 6 months to 3 months between second vaccination and booster.

Well Hooperman, it wasn’t as though it came as a big surprise, this was widely trailed in the media and widely discussed, so should been discussed at DHSC meetings and ManxCare meetings too. Or don’t they discuss what’s happening in other parts of the UK?

Instead of whining, perhaps he could be proactive, create more vaccination facilities like village halls, schools, UCM etc and really ramp vaccination to all not just to the selected few.

All the anti vaxxers whining about travel & other restrictions would be very unhappy in Europe with ever increasing restrictions, latest from Italy

Unvaccinated Italians face restrictions as Christmas approaches

Italy is making life more uncomfortable for unvaccinated people as the holidays draw near, excluding them from indoor restaurants, theatres and museums.

Starting today and lasting until 15 January, Italian police can check whether diners in restaurants or bars have a "super" green health pass certifying that they are either vaccinated or have recently recovered from the virus.

Smart phone applications that check people's health pass status will be updated and those who have merely tested negative in recent days for COVID-19 will no longer be allowed into concerts, movies or performances.

Get Vaccinated now !!!

You make a fair point. I wasn't so much trying to be funny, just more the point that they class them as public transport when they 'need' millions for their latest choo choo train scheme, but when it comes to masks they're no public transport. A point for another time I think.

No issue with mask wearing otherwise.

Makes complete sense. I can go to a restaurant being double jabbed but quite possibly harbouring a transmissable viral load but my daughter who is at school and does regular LFT's can't go with me even with a negative test completed that day. Okay.

More reasons to get vaccinated, should we be imposing more restrictions on unvaccinated like lots of countries?

Doctor says 40% of unvaccinated ICU patients are dying

A critical care consultant said it could be five years before COVID-19 intensive care unit (ICU) patients "reach their normal lives again".

Dr Zudin Puthucheary, a member of the Intensive Care Society Council, raised concerns that there are not enough staff to rehabilitate patients who are treated in ICUs.

He also told Kay Burley: "People who have chosen to be unvaccinated make up the vast majority of patients on the intensive care unit at the moment, and certainly most of our pregnant patients are unvaccinated.

What do they do in the Channel Islands?
