Saw someone on Promenade today with mask on, at least 40m from nearest person!!

Yes there was some daft twat on Prospect Terrace wearing one on Saturday. I think he was worried that someone might cough in Oldham and it might make its way 70 miles across the Irish Sea!

On a more positive note Boris is now sending the troops in. Now there’s a man firmly in control of his own country! His hellbent desire to run Britain into the ground seems to know no bounds to please a load of PHE covid nuts whose modeling has been wildly off the mark from the start.

Exactly.

There are so many tough guys that think the rules and laws don't apply to them because they are tough guys, like the pub-crawling Bolton beer swiller,  you never know who is out there.

They don’t need to but recommended in enclosed spaces eg shops not in fresh bracing sea air! I would think it’s a local scared by media reports

The latest thinking is that the virus is spread mostly by exhaled droplets. So wearing a mask is to protect those around you rather than yourself.

The figures show the cases are doubling every seven days.

It's serious.

Not in the Isle of Man it isn’t so face masks are not needed

That's not the latest thinking, it was apparent from the start that droplets were causative. It's the aerosolised virus that's worrying, lighter, more prone to extended range as more easily carried on a breath of wind.

Probably seen Jersey & Guernsey doing it so thought he would join in . Hopefully he will come up with a plan we can all support or if not any plan at all on way forward!

Some of what you've been saying about those islands isn't true. It certainly is not as simple as you

Edit - sorry, missed the end of that sentence, add 'make out' to it.

It's recommended by IOMG for those who have passed their Covid test but yet to complete their 14 day self - isolation.

Eminently sensible - for those who understand what sensible means that is....
