The Dog's Dangly Bits
Looking at the way Ashford framed things he mentioned moving more towards Guidance rather than forcing by rules. I think Government are getting to the point where businesses have said to them that they won't open or can't open under the current rule based environment. It'll far easier for business to return to normal if they only have guidance. It means they can do what they want.
Out of the blue
What a group of dithering old men we have at our helm. Get a spine and make a decision rather than discuss it for bloody weeks. Also whta is the logic for 60mph in two weeks. Weasel words and disingenuous politicians go hand in hand.
The Dog's Dangly Bits
The end of June or early July for subs etc seems totally unreasonable.

Golfer
But outdoor eating & drinking establishments from Monday! What's that just cafes with no alcohol? Also maybe going to NZ social distancing which is 1 metre inside restaurants, cinemas , bars where it's more difficult to do 2 metres. Non-Believer
A further 377 COVID-related UK deaths in last 24hrs, all settings. Can't see those borders being opened yet.
Andy Onchan
I'm not sure I understand why teachers are only being "offered" weekly testing. It should be mandatory and what about other staff in schools (admin, assistants etc). If they test regularly then there's no reason why all kids can't go back to school, especially primary. The danger in schools are the adults, not the kids.

x-in-man
If there are no more cases by the end of next week all schools could open as normal from the start of the new half term.

That would be logical. Instead of fucking about rearranging seats for six kids at a time.

Unless they plan of handling a raft of compensation claims for people they stop going on holidays that are perfectly capable of being taken.

Golfer
U.K. Are also opening dentists from 8/06 and says they are considering opening the pubs etc earlier than original date of 4/07. So even with our 3 cases we are behind the U.K. And most other countries in opening schools, dentists and bars etc but if you raise any objections you are classed as someone who wants to spread the virus and kill everyone!
