I think there’s a reasonable chance of limited community transmission behind the last announcement. Nothing to be concerned about. But the way the announcement was worded suggested to me that track and trace hadn’t finalized assessing the risks/contacts.

Maybe it was one of the twats who went to Tesco's?

"The individual, who recently travelled to the Island, is in self-isolation which will last for a further 14 days."

Travelled not returned, was it one of those "key workers" that apparently we couldn't do without?

" is in self-isolation which will last for a further 14 days." -

"The contact tracing team is working to identify and speak with anyone who may have come into close contact with the affected person." - That does indeed sound like it could be a community risk.

You people really can't insult well but it does say non community on the update page -

https://covid19.gov.im/general-information/latest-updates/

But who knows? the timing might be right for Tesco's

Guernsey have  gone back up to 2 -

https://covid19.gov.gg/test-results

Jersey - 23 -

Non community means exactly what it says not in community and they were already isolating.

Hope so.

Our previous positive was " a non-resident, who entered the country on compassionate grounds," -

That's a real shame.  If they are here for compassionate reasons, you would hope that the object of their compassion is still around after the 14 day isolation.

The point is though that as a non resident (non key worker) you can still at least go to Guernsey if you want regardless of the quarantine period moving. We don’t even want people who were born and schooled here coming back to visit family. I’ve heard of so many turned down just because they’ve been away for a year or two. It’s changed a lot of Manx peoples views about their homeland and will impact long term. Oh land of my birth ... except when there’s covid and then you can just piss off because we’re so busy managing the collective paranoia of residents. Many of whom moved here from the UK.

What a load of cock!
