Loads are, and you really don't have to be a genius to work out why.

Hotels and tourist accommodation

Hire cars

Cleaners of said accommodation

Suppliers of food to hotels

Suppliers of goods to cleaners

Taxis

Removal businesses

Man and Van businesses who collect items from UK, or take them there

Manufacturing businesses who cant attract qualified staff (replace "manufacturing" for "any")

Betting businesses who cant retain existing staff (replace "betting" for "any")

Events businesses who reply on bringing guests over.

Accountants to all of the above

Marketing businesses who work for any of the above

Recruitment consultants

Office cleaners to any of the above

Web designers to any of the above

Marketing consultancies to any of the above

Do you see how this is panning out yet?

Distilled down to what is actually real or genuinely affected in that list: It's tourism and, maybe, removals.

What do you want the government to do differently?

Erm OK.

Have you seen the state of loads of specialist industries over here lately?  Staff are leaving because they miss their family.  New people cant be recruited because why would you move to a Little Rock you cant get off.

Businesses are retracting, others are simply shelving plans to expand and others are cancelling plans to relocate here.  Every one of those then knocks on the lawyers, cleaners, IT people,  marketing people, coffee machine suppliers etc.  It knocks on right across the economy.

I guess if you don't talk to the people impacted you can just pretend it isn't happening.

Where is the evidence for this? Why is it not being reported or even talked about?

It won't be reported.  Go and ask people

Who are these people? Why wouldn't it be reported?

I talk to people all the time. Obviously there are concerns about the state of the world -- but most people are pretty upbeat. Some have more work than ever. Where do you think the divide is?

It was posted last night too.

Really?  Says it was posted today and only 1,000 views so far.  Maybe he posted it yesterday in follow up to the one he posted a few days ago, and then posted it again today?

If he did he has deleted the one he posted yesterday

Here you go.

If that's your kind of person then we aren't ever going to agree and I'm happy not to.
