Well, I may be a bit jaded and cynical, but there are lots of bits that just don't add up - he was with his "partner" for a whole 2 weeks in September, she didn't know he had gone back (you have wonder if her first words were "wtf have you been?"), he had never driven a jet ski before but decided to cut his teeth on a quite treacherous crossing, at the coldest time of year with the least daylight, and having done that walked to Douglas?  Oh yes, and last mitigation was depression.

I smell bollocks here.

Might have been protecting her by saying she didn’t know.

Are they saying they’re looking for it and can’t find it?

Criminal Justice is a strange choreographed dance, between what actually happened, what the defendant discloses ( with or without advice ) and what is needed to get a conviction.

So, guy gets stopped with baggie with traces. Police arrest. Detained person admits its class B, personal use, that he knows class b is illegal, doesn’t say how much he paid or where he got it from. Police don’t pay for analysis. End of story.

Its exactly the same. If they’d found it the prosecution would have said. No need to look if they have an admission of the facts constituting the offence.

Friday was cold and unpleasant. He’d have been frozen like an ice block. Even in a wet suit. What dry clothes could he carry on a jet ski? If he changed where is the wetsuit?

Maybe he rocked up in one of these bad boys (to a bit of Jan Hammer's theme tune to Miami Vice obvs)
