Eventually (say 1 month later) the whole IoM goes into lockdown. Thankfully, that is not an issue we are faced with, at present with no community transmission we only need to focus on borders, and people who could import and then transmit COVID locally. Our friends over at Jersey were doing a beta test on relaxed border policy and now have developed into beta of uncontrolled outbreak. When latest outbreak started they had as the worst case scenario 1,100 active cases on Boxing day and they are on track to achieve this. They have to self-isolate if they're having a test because they're displaying Covid-type symptoms. So it is in their interest to have the test as they can only stop self-isolating with a confirmed negative test.

Just in case A infects B who infects C etc. Seems a bit much to me. Maybe it would be better to just use hotels. If people really feel the need to travel. That's what China does. Perhaps with means testing where there is not a compassionate or health reason for the journey.

Nom de plume
Have they actually come up with a plausible reason why we haven’t started vaccinating? The paperwork excuse in a digital age is a poor smokescreen in anyone’s book. They’re a bit of joke really, aren’t they?

My understanding was Ashie said they couldn't split the tray of 975 and defrost only a selected amount and as there are Bank Holidays this week and next it would be more advisable to have a clear run in the New Year. So basically we are on holiday and get going in the New Year when we have a clear run, or maybe they are not geared up for the rollout just yet.

You don't have bank holidays when you are dealing with a pandemic.
