Gov should offer everyone who can stay off work a few hundred quid to do so and give the kids another week off while they do shit loads of testing. So not a lockdown, but a little grace, see how it goes.

Didn’t China do something similar for a strict period ? I suppose the threat of death helped in their case.

To early for lockdown

Better too early than too late.

Most people will say no and many will deny they were in 1886 if it possibly means isolating for 14 days

^ this is the case for a short lockdown

If that's true then there needs to be a thorough investigation and heads should roll.

It's pointless and dumb constantly looking backwards trying to find people to blame

You cant just have a lockdown put people's jobs at risks etc on a what if.

Far more at risk economically if the IOM does not keep the lid on this.

That’s just extreme paranoia, think you need to go on Iom news & politics Facebook where a few others spout similar rubbish

Hardly extreme. I did say potentially.

Hey, tell you what, we'll see in a few weeks. I'm happy to eat humble pie should all be rosie in the garden. Are you if it all goes tits up?

Despite what they say on website etc, if you ring 111 for advice having been in 1886 they say just isolate for a week as a precaution!!

Friend’s daughter got told above earlier when she rang up, she’s happy as will get paid but lots of others won’t. So basically they are saying something different to official published advice if you ring up.

So given the information sent out by twitter and press over the last 24 hours, what are the actual government recommendations for staff at and visitors to the estabkishments mentioned? Fb seems to be saying people who have phoned 111 are getting conflicting information about isolation and testing, and lots won't want to phone as they can't afford to isolate.

Its a total shitshow.

Get proper information out to people and update your website
