Ok assume we will find out later but the press release indicates they know exactly who is waiting for testing & exact reasons.

Robinsons have had to release a statement saying why they are staying open and not bowing to public pressure to close, the paranoia is getting worse, next we’ll have mobs demanding closures!!

Obviously, if they do know, they’re treating us like mushrooms. The standard of data being released is very poor.

Assuming they can announce 500+ negatives by the 11AM briefing today, I'm sure they'll laud that as a success.

One for @rachomics here but it is highly probable that someone could test negative over the last few days but positive in 4-5 days time?

Aa Liverpool found out during their mass testing campaign, a negative result can lead to complacency when actually they are carrying the virus, just not yet shedding.

I think a more sensible approach would be an insistence of anyone who was at the busiest venues- 1886, Casino - to isolate for the coming week and not test people for a few more days yet. This knee jerk reaction to a large amount of testing has scope to backfire.

I can't help but think that Howard was keeping quiet until the genome analysis had been completed in Liverpool. IF it shows to be the new strain, then as Dr Glover has rightly pointed out, it won't show a positive result until much later in incubation (day 10-14).

The Liverpool testing was the rapid test which is not as reliable.

Given Howie & Ashie are the most conservative of people and I have criticized them for it & knee jerk reactions if they say it’s low risk then it must be really minimal

Sweepstake on Howardism's for the 11am presser

Odds for:

Foot-teen days - 1/4

Gold standard - 1/4

Would you like to take this, David? 1/2

For fuck's sake Paul, stop asking about Rachel Glover, destroyed letters and testing capabilities. 10/1

Rachel posted on Twitter that she reckoned the 6th to the 8th would be the most likely dates for positive tests
