Is it rumoured to be on the back of COVID's big day out on Christmas Eve/boxing day?

I heard it was a financial place and related to 1886 Boxing Day or possibly casino.

But the Manx rumour mill often proves to nothing.

Do you know that?

I spoke to someone who had recently joined just yesterday and they said different and have subsequently left. A small sample I know but they said they were fed up of farcebook but thought it was even worse on here.

Forums are old hat, even the proper motorbike and enthusiast ones are dying off to be replaced with Facebook groups. Far easier when everything is in one place. More accessible to the less technical too.

I know a number of people who can manage facebook groups but wouldn't ever dream of trying to figure out a forum.

I beg to differ. Forums are on their way back.

They left because of 2 or 3 posters who drop the C-bomb once every week or so?

But yes, as AC mentions forums are on the way out. And I say that as an avid user of forums. FB, Insta and Reddit are dominating the space.

For a bit of levity, here's one of my favourite cartoons.

This forum has intelligent and resourceful people who's views and opinions based on their knowledge, skills, training, wit and qualifications can, most of the time, enlighten and inform those of us who do not normally have access to those insights. As for overall entertainment there is no where better. (I don't use fb or twit.)

Since joining Manx Forums I have experienced several comments that have been eye opening and have made me reconsider some of my beliefs from time to time. I benefit from that.

I can only post my own views and try not to speak on behalf of others, not to use terms that discriminate against people who tend to not to or who cannot argue back ( mental illness, disabilities etc).

I am happy to be called a keyboard warrior by politicians, but don't want to be labelled an offensive one. Children can openly access the comments on this forum so I give thought to the language I use. No big deal. Each to their own.

Forum accountability for comments used is a big issue this week in USA. We are all individually responsible for what we post.

As JW posted the matter is closed.

Back to more serious matters - aren't our politicians useless 😁
