If you need to change a light bulb for them, arrange when to do it so they can stay out of the room when you are there (and maybe 30 minutes after). You could arrange to take their washing away to dry it for them (again without meeting). But you're hanging washing out to dry in January? With a bit ingenuity these things can easily be got round and it's only three weeks.

The guidelines last time were clear you could visit people for care situation ie shopping & putting said shopping away, helping with various things. It’s just a bit wishy washy now

A lot of government workers plus teachers who’ve just had 3 weeks off . Let’s hope they do some actual online teaching this time

the stinking enigma
There should at least be a flagellate a teacher in every town event every wednesday until restrictions are lifted. Drawn by lots. If figures get worse maybe on a friday too.

Obviously you can assist people who can't cope alone. Just take sensible precautions, like last year. And maybe buy some LED bulbs for them because those aren't going to blow over the course of 3 weeks. 1
