Hmmm, no cases for a month and very little testing being done? Only the IoM Bank affected, strange?

Very strange, some of the staff are enjoying being at home & doing as little as possible so obviously trying all the tricks to stay there.

all of a sudden they have discovered lots of vulnerable staff they didn’t have before, bit like the teachers, civil service and anywhere they get full pay!!!

Once those self-isolating are taken into account they don't have enough staff! Can't you read?

Firstly that is bullshit.  Secondly, even if they were it wouldn't stop them working and freeing up others.

It isn't staffing that is the issue.  It will be horrific red tape being imposed on the boss who won't have the scrotum to stand up to it.

Concern to who?

If they can make a profit flying from here they will return whenever the border reopens

MNH are opening, reduced hours, despite all their staff having been 'redeployed' elsewhere doing non jobs. Now they can come back on full pay for less hours while those in the many private sector jobs are scratching a living.

They have just announced that a third of pilots are being made redundant so routes are being reviewed and they won’t just turn the Iom to Liverpool route  back on when Howie decides he wants it back.

the concern for all islands is loss of vital air routes for business, domestic and international tourism in and out

Another airline flies the route as well you know.

Or the boat to the shiny new gold plated terminal there

I suspect that just means that they are taking on fewer seasonal staff than normal[1] and so need to adjust the hours.  After all most of their sites are seasonal, opening mainly for tourists, and with none of those, income will be down and they will need to trim costs.

[1]  Given that many of them are retirees anyway, some of their regulars might also be unwilling to work public-facing jobs for health reasons.

Even stranger when you consider that the Ramsey and Castletown branches don't seem to be similarly afflicted. Port Erin branch under question as well, isn't it?

If there is a profit to be made then an airline  will come along to serve it if Ezy/BA decide not to.

You having a tantrum will not change anything.

Anyway, as your supposedly retired why do you care about Island business routes?.
