But its ok for people to keep repeating that we must stop all travel, without a single one actually explaining how there is any risk if we take the relevant precautions?

At least I am giving solutions rather than just stating something and not backing it up.

The paranoia has turned the island into a load of people shouting "close the borders" he refuse to engage their brains and actually look at the risks (clue, letting family come over in a proper manner is much lower risk than flying a dr in to do a surgery at Nobles, or many many other scenarios)

Close the borders ( usually spelled with an “a” ) has become a meme

Flying in a doctor is likely necessary though. That's the difference vs unnecessary leisure travel.

The more travel, the more risk.

You can talk all you want about mitgation, testing, isolation whatever, but until you grasp this very simple point then it doesn't matter.

14 or 21 day isolation with 3 tests is zero risk.  Especially if done in the UK and then people come.here, test again and isolate for 7 more days.

Zero risk is zero risk.  Doesnt matter if its one person or a thousand coming over

Oh, I apologise, I thought you were a rational, though distraught poster. I didn't realise I was engaging with an idiot. I'll stop now.

And again with the names, but not actually backing up what you are saying.

What is the risk with proper isolation and testing? Educate an idiot!

It’ll never work

Surely the eradication policy will only be in force until the vulnerable have been vaccinated. After that, will it really matter if anyone catches it?.

I don't think anyone can guarantee how long protection can last. Other strains may develop but hopefully the vaccines will cover all of them. They can be modified, just like to flu virus is depending on what is going around that year.

Given most people in their 70s won’t be driving in to Noble’s,

Hey you Kid, I'm over 70 and would use any excuse to drive my 2door sports car to anywhere as an opportunity to do so.

I think that you are thinking of the over 80s?
