Hopefully since the lockdown began, these six contacts of the 'index case' will have been keeping themselves to themselves and the onward transmission from them will be minimal if not zero.

Said they were in isolation but would publish a list of low risk venues they had been which should give an idea where cases are

That’s not been said at any of briefings so I’m sorry but find that hard to believe

Actually she did hint at this today when asked to recap the figures by Tim Glover. She said that all new cases were related or something like that. I would rewatch it but it was painful enough the first time. Why, oh why can't they just burst into song or do a merry jig to liven things up.

I don’t quite understand your logic, why don’t you wait for the contract tracing list to be produced before completely poo pooing someone. I’m going to take a wild assumption that your a well educated individual who’s probably been quite fortunate and successful in their lifetime.

Cases don't stay active indefinitely. It may be that one of the 21 active cases from yesterday is no longer active

That's actually another thing that needs sorting out - are they testing cases to see if they are clear of the virus and continuing isolation if not?  Or are they just assuming that they are automatically clear after first reported symptoms as they did in the Spring.

Pfft!

They're a straight up moron.

No chance, it’s a personality type I’ve dealt with many times before, they aren’t stupid infact I’m willing to bet it’s quite the opposite they’ll have a very high IQ, their weakness is a strong distrust of others, particularly those who appear uneducated.

wasn't it a 14 day period after testing positive back in Spring as well?

the timing for 1 dropping off would probably make sense to be around boxing day but I have not been tracking the numbers

After today’s briefing I’m increasingly concerned that Dr. Ewart, rather than being an independent, reliable and well-informed voice of clear and comprehensive advice and information to the public, is becoming, or more disturbingly has become, simply a mouthpiece for Quayle’s view of the situation. I want more confidence in the Island’s Director of Public Health than I presently have.

Perhaps someone should go to their doorstep and do it.

How dare you 'think outside the box' and propose options that might might show up the complete incompetence of our parish council and its clerks whose biggest decisions in their sad lives to date have risen to little more than what flovoured pizza topping to order tonight - unqualified (in anything) politicians being advised by myopic, been-nowhere done-nothing bureaucrats.

Even more important now given the timescales of the new variant, surely?

Struggle to have confidence in someone who thought it was a good idea to travel to France in February when it was kicking off in Europe
