Honestly - we've got a small bunch of people here who have selfishly argued for months that the government has overreacted to Covid 19 or that the advice against travelling does not apply to them. Now arguing that the government has done too little.

Let's be honest: Some people are just anti - government, nit-picking every decision or looking for loopholes and exceptions.

Sorry but that is nonsense.

Government could had should have stopped this coming back here with proper testing and isolation.

Now it is back they should be locking us down harder.

Thinking we should have been allowed more freedom to travel (with proper procedures) and now that its back be locked down harder, don't have to be mutually exclusive.

They messed up our period of being COVID free, and now they are messing up our chances of getting back there - although they have clarified today that people need to stay at home, about 10 days to late

Nobody messed up our period of being covid free. It was always going to return, especially given the prevalence in the UK which is currently where all our boats and planes come from. Careful balancing of risk gave us a nice late summer and we're now paying for it. Grit your teeth and take the medicine. Then we can go again.

Howie messed up by refusing to bring testing in when it was suggested by many Tynwald members & Rachel Glover

I’m not anti-government, but the decisions (or lack of) they’ve made affect me directly, something that could have been avoided has come back round once again. I don’t understand why stricter measures weren’t brought in sooner, are you telling me that HQ or Ashford don’t keep up with current affairs in the UK, why are they acting like someone has had their pants down unexpectedly?

Finally woken up at the back then, glad to have you onboard. P.s the testing is still an ongoing issue, they’ve effectively stuck a plaster on a cut that requires stitching.

And yet only a week ago some here were Trumpishly arguing that another lockdown was unnecessary.  And even just a couple of days ago that the measures were an overreaction. The same people who had been arguing for months against border restrictions.
