Black Lives Matter

TBH, colonisation probably "developed" most sub-saharan countries rather than slavery per se (and it is still "developing" in the guise of international aid). So, not only is the cartoon demonstrative of bigotry (if it wasn't for slavery you would still be running round with spears) it is inaccurate.

The same could be said of the Greater London area. They systematically robbed the north of England -- the great powerhouse of the Industrial Revolution -- in the 1700s and 1800s in order to develop London and the south. Many academics do regard London as a coloniser of the rest of the British Isles and while I think they just use this to make stupid marxist talking points, there is some merit in the key evidence, if not their conclusions.

Just reading a Manx Radio item on race issues

It's probably been discussed in this thread, but can anyone offer suggestions why the Black Lives Matter march was attended by very much mostly young women?

Because young women are, in the main rather dim.

The first rule of any protest is always put some pretty girls on the front row.

Otherwise the dirty old men of the media won't take any notice.

(Though there do seem to be several people of colour in even the tiny proportion of the march shown in that photo)

There is probably something in that Roger  and the - for example - Daily Telegraph front page photos of 'fruity girls' jumping for joy as they receive their GCSE results is now cliched and perennial.

But did you see the BLM march Roger? Your defence of something (I am not sure what) is admirable but hardly helpful.

It is a serious question I am asking.
