The higher the level, the more intensity and pressure, leading to some very strange character traits. He is also a massive dickhead. Talented, but then 1000’s more drivers are too, who never get the breaks. Over paid and overrated.

The issue with all three drivers is and was a level playing field. Schumacher took Benetton to the top. He then took Ferrari to the top. Vettel basically did similar. However, in both cases the FIA were criticised for favouring those teams. Hamilton has always been with the same team. That team has consistently been favoured in the same way because of Hamilton. Put Hamilton in any other F1 car and he is a pretty average driver, just like his team mate Bottas. Nah, sorry. The metrics against which these guys are measured leaves little if any room for debate. The biggest tests of course apply when these guys drive in the 'unpredictable' wet/dry conditions. At those times the top teams can analyse to the 'nth' degree what in all other levels might be called 'seat of the pants' driving or what Senna could do 'On the marbles'. On all these metrics Hamilton is right up there with the greats and comfortably ahead of Vettel. If there is one driver who has failed to reach his potential then it is indeed Alonso but he himself chose his career moves as did Jenson Button.
manxman1980
So, other than Hamilton how many black Formula 1 drivers are there? How many black Formula 1 drivers have there ever been? Is it only white people who can drive cars fast around a circuit?

He is not a great wet track driver at all. MS was the king of wet tracks and nobody even comes close. Hamilton is a pussy by comparison. 1

A massive ego and an absence of personality and character are essential to be a modern 'sports' champion. The focus has to be absolute; social and emotional development is retarded; self doubt eliminated; and the winning at all costs mentality takes over the brain. It's the case in most sports at the very top level.
Grumble
Given the same cars, I think Verstappen would win every time. He has more raw talent and hunger than Hamilton.
