Consultations are just done to justify decisions that have already been made, petitions are ignored, that is our transparent world..... Spot on HS and when a bunch of OAP motorcyclists run a successful event like 'Jurby Day' those in power succeed in scuppering it. I wouldn't be surprised if "they" kill off the TT/MGP , marshals have been voting with their feet . A leading light in the motorsport team is alleged to have more of an interest in push bike racing , I wouldn't bother marshalling for that🤣
TheTeapot
I liked working on the clocks years ago. It's a shame.

Boris Johnson
The comments on your site just show precisely why we need cameras, more traffic police and a national speed limit. Don't know what's worse, the 2 bits of driving or the clowns defending it.

2112
Well It has been decreed that that public won’t be consulted on a temporary scoreboard for 2022, according to the NPM. Starship Enterprise are putting in a bid for funding for 2023 - if it was rejected once, what’s to say Treasury are going to stump up taxpayers cash, on something that wont be properly thought through? In short the temporary structure could be the permanent structure.
Ramseyboi
Why does there need to be a scoreboard? Years ago it was to keep people updated on progress. Now we have live radio, transponders and smart phones. Total wast of time and money. Spend the cash on better radio coverage and a decent app. It is 2021, not 1907 4

Hardly any actually ride on them.

You can only take things away from an event for so long before it is no longer meaningful.

If the TT relies on the same old wrinkles who come now for the next few decades it will die when they do. Embrace technology. Embrace new fuels and electric bikes. Embrace esports and push the event online to youngsters. That way it might survive. Nobody cares about a scoreboard apart from sad old people who can’t move forward.
