Today, more users are in rehab, but drug use is on the rise, and reporter Keith O'Brien says the policy has made the problem worse. Keith O’Brien is just a reporter. There’s no reference to sources. Not some balanced scientific or fair forum? Muppet. That article you produced is the opinion of a reporter and hardly counts as 'evidence', leaving aside the fact that it was over 10 years old. I doubt you read it all the way through as it doesn't add weight to your argument. There are a whole raft of peer-reviewed papers about the long-term social effects of Portugal's decriminalisation program which provide a far bigger picture than the less-educated and biased opinion of Mr O'brien. The statistics provided by JW's link, which I doubt you glanced at, tell a glaringly different story...

I don’t give it long - Starship Enterprise latest blue riband policy, rubber stamped by Tynpotwald. When something goes wrong - missing crop of cannabis or the crop that is supposed to be exported, goes astray, I can see fraught tempers and lots of handwringing. Biotech, Cleansweep, Low Carbon industries have fallen by the wayside. Manufacturing is a dead duck along with engineering. Have we now reached rock bottom? It’s worth noting that all the experts were all screaming ‘cruise liner jetty’ and its the latest saviour to the island. The British Virgin Islands are being investigated by the UK Government for such things as criminal activity and fraud - using UK taxpayer funding. Amongst the large scale projects being investigated is a Cruise Ship Jetty.
