I worked in the same small team in the UK scientific civil service for 14 years and Taxa wouldn't have survived more than a few months if I wasn't able to lead a team successfully (we're going to be 4 years in October). I spent 7 months in the small path lab team last year before my resignation. If I wasn't a team player they'd have gotten rid of me within a week or two, given I was on the bank.

Yet more smoke, mirrors and hints to try to put doubt in people's minds. I notice that DA's girlfriend (the DBC girl, as Gladys called her) is doing the same too these days on Facebook and Twitter. She's an amateur actress so that might be who is coaching DA in his "roles" of which technical specialist he is this week.

Bloody  hell that’s not taken you long!

You’ve been given a get out of jail free card to prove yourself and you begin by insulting both Minister Ashford and his girlfriend.

Nice start!

He not alone in his expertise though

He also had some odd arguments at the PAC about whether a 5 day wait for genomics results was acceptable.  It started from the basis that the Kent variant was first identified in September but only became of concern in December (I may be wrong on those dates, but it was that kind of timing) therefore knowing the variant was not relevant. Anyway, by the time you have positive cases, they have already been out in the community.   When it became a concern, identifying the variant would not alter the measures taken, so a 5 day wait was acceptable.

I suppose that's fine if you are always willing to use a sledgehammer, but not if you want a sophisticated and nuanced approach.

He sounded very confident.

A get out of jail free card is only useful if you are in jail.

Well, he said he was not interested in CM on the Mannin Line on Wednesday, but also said he had not decided whether he would stand at all.

It’s what politicians do. There are numerous examples of this, both locally UK and internationally. Hedging your bets like DA is not unique. Read political histories.

I made no comment other than repeating what he said.

True, but there was an implied position, suggestion, whatever in you doing so without making comment.

Otherwise why would you repeat what he said?

I could simply repeat whatever you  said verbatim in a post on here but what would be the purpose?

To relay what he had said about standing and being CM.  What was the implicit suggestion?

That he was being duplicitous

How could I suggest that when reporting just what he had said without comment, or even an emoji hinting that I thought he was not being truthful?

You have drawn that conclusion, I did not make any judgement.

I refer to my previous answer, why would you report just what he had said without comment if you did not think there was a point to be made. A fair conclusion to be made I would suggest.

Would you post “ Manchester City have been confirmed as winners of this years Premier League” I don’t think so

Your reliance on the power of the emoji troubles me.
