Spat between Chief Minister and Dr Glover

Would it help the return to the  topic as titled, if we just  acknowledged, as a fact of life, without  comment, judgement  or innuendo,  that some people  go to public toilets not just to empty bladder or bowel, but with the  the hope of some sort of brief sexual  encounter?

So, basically, you're David Ashford's girlfriend (Kat) and the reason you don't understand is because you've never been inside a urinal.

Figures.

Ashy has a girlfriend?

Add to my list his accusations against the SP in a Paul Moulton interview,  for which they have asked for an apology.

I see that DA has apologised.  Good for him.  A little contrition goes a long way.

I didn't feel that he sounded very contrite, and he was only pushed into "apologising" by Mark Woodward from the Steamy.

A quote from ‘Chris Thomas’ from their post on IOM Today website: ”Every MHK has worked tirelessly for constituents and better law and policy through the pandemic”.

Yours was a very partial quote and the rest was: "Surprised that Manx press did not report the May Tynwald Public Health Regulations vote for backbench amendment as a vote of no confidence. Only Mr Quayle and one other voted against the backbench amendment I had drafted over the previous bank holiday weekend, with all the Ministers taking the opportunity to vote against Chief Minister’s position when he announced in his summing up speech his incredible decision that the vote on Government-brought law was a ‘free’ vote. I think this ‘isolation’ led to Mr Quayle’s announcement of his standing down as Chief Minister nearly three months before his predecessor made the same announcement." Many backbenchers have spent a long time preparing and lobbying for successful public health legal amendments and policy changes since last May.

Any politician's apology is uttered from between clenched teeth. In their nature, it's an admission of failure that comes as an absolute last resort after all other measures of spin and denial have failed.

Hey, who cares? If anything, the apology through gritted teeth is more satisfying because it shows they knew they were wrong.
