Vaccine- who will have it?

They would have removed their own stuff, but delapidations would be complicated by dispute over what was due to their use and what was caused by problems with the building as a whole (and that would further be complicated by dispute between the DoI who own it and DBC who were then running it).

That's speculation.

I think the point here is some silly insinuation that the DOI are fitting it out for B and M. (Who no doubt will be fitting it out to their own corporate specification as most branded chain stores would)

There is no evidence of that at all.  And no one is privy to any settlement the landlord and former tenant may have came to.

Looks like they have moved on to the 75-80s with about 20% of over 80s still to go. Have 20% declined the vaccination or are they housebound and harder to reach?

It’s to book in 75-80 but the wait may be 2 weeks or so, some have declined, some are Ramsey whiners not wanting to travel & some are booked in next week

Seems the evidence in now more in favour of longer time between doses, wonder if Ashie will change it here ? Think there was a few on here slagging UK off over this decision

Interestingly a friend of mine in late 70s phoned up on Friday and got their first jab Saturday (yesterday). Seems there's some extra capacity floating around currently.

Some over 70s have already started having theirs in UK.

Why is IOM starting the next cohort from 75+, why not 70+ like UK?

I posed the question earlier in the thread how does IOM DHSC know if they have received the correct allocation of vaccines. Is this a reason why we have the age differential, because haven't received own proper allocation?

The UK are purely doing the single dose/delayed second dose because of the gravity of the situation they are in.

We are in the position to follow the manufacturers guidance with second doses as prescribed.

We've seen issues with the effectiveness of a single dose among the elderly. Let's allow the grown ups to do their job.

The UK will be open end of April, the majority on the Island won't have been anywhere near a needle by then.

By open do you mean pubs with no alcohol?

Nobody can tell what will happen in 8 days, never mind 8 weeks.

Based on BoJos prior performances in this pandemic we're better to do things our own way.

The IOM is following exactly the same Groups as the UK, i.e. 75-80, followed by 70-74. They are simply several weeks ahead of us, so the UK has reached Groups we'll be doing around Easter.

Also, according to the DHSC 'Dashboard', there are no more first doses planned to be administered until 15th February. Looks like its all been going so well, that Ashie has given everyone a week off!

We must be the only place in the World to stall the vaccination programme, in this way.

HQ visiting the vaccination centre on Saturday. Didn't know they were doing it at weekends. Does anyone know how many they did?

Seems to be lots of senior nursing staff around to show him the way. Overtime?
