If reports from various news agencies are correct, it's 5 million doses that have been manufactured in India that are being delayed. Our proportion of that is 6500.

Matt Hancock now reported as saying that a batch of 1.7M doses from India are being delayed "due to need to retest stability" of doses (Sky News).

I saw that on the box just now. I think the 1.7m is in addition to the 5m.

Sky News reported that he said: "In the last week, we've had a batch of 1.7 million doses delayed because of the need to retest its stability. Events like this are to be expected in a manufacturing endeavour of this complexity and this shows the rigour of our safety checks. And we have a delay in a scheduled arrival from the Serum Institute of India."

Another topic should be added to the investigation of the media's role in the handling of this pandemic, not denying the information is in the public interest but sensible statistical context does not lead to clicks/views/ad revenue, sensational "COVID VACCINE BLOOD CLOTS" type headline does.

They’re not really idiots. They’re just poor souls terrified rigid by the TV, radio and newspapers - and social media. There’s so much conflicting information they don’t know what to do for the best.

What would be really good is if someone who knew what they were talking about could give them the facts but facts don’t seem that easy to come by right now. It’s almost as if the MSM want everyone to be confused and frightened.  It doesn’t make them idiots though.

What would be better  for them is to stop listening to Karen on Facebook and perhaps stop looking at news and social media altogether if it is going to spook them into making selfish decisions.

You are just too kind today..

The thing that makes it difficult is knowing when you are out of your depth. I don't think some of them realise it now and cannot row it back.

We will soon need a big name from across to lead us all out of this mess.
