The sequencing of invites was a mess. I was only alerted to the fact my name had been missed off the list in early March ( I’m 60-65 & allegedly clinically extremely vulnerable ) because my partner ( who is 50-55 and clinically vulnerable ) got his letter. 50’s and clinically vulnerable went out in the same sequencing. It was supposed to be  70’s and CEV for me.

I've heard of quite a few where this happened, particularly people with multiple health problems being treated by several specialists (who obviously should have been at the head of the queue).  I think that the GPs assumed that the Hospital would put them in the extremely vulnerable category and the Hospital just assumed the GPs would do everything.

I got the extremely vulnerable, SHIELD!,  letter from Nobles/IOM DHSC x 3, Liverpool Royal x 3 Clatterbridge x 3, UK DHSC and nice Mr Jenrick ( taking such good care of me ) x 6. But I don’t think GP’s sent them out, maybe one very early. All one condition, but treatment yo-yo ing between venues.

I'm under 50, had my first jab In May 2nd due in July, I'm not vulnerable

But have you done the magnet test yet? 😂😂

This is on IOM News and Politics right now. It’s completely changed my view and I now think Melinda has divorced Bill Gates because of all those $ coins now stuck to her arm.

the sheer level of dumbfuckery from these halfwits desperately trying to find some sort of conspiracy in all this is mind boggling. The only conspiracy is how top level politicians around the world arranged to trouser billions in sketchy deals and contracts.

But no we will worry about some science fiction bullshit about a complex device that can be injected through a needle thats less that 0.5mm wide.

Bit worried about where this bloke had his vaccine!!

It must be nice to be so popular!  The GPs don't send the letters out but who they are sent to is based on the GPs records. This seems to have been as at the end of last year or early this when they took the information from them, rather than based on the latest data.

I'd assumed that individual practices had nominated those "clinically extremely vulnerable" (CEV) and "16-64 with underlying health conditions" (UHC) groups or maybe hospital consultants also had some input particularly with the CEVs. But thinking about it I now suspect that it was probably done purely mechanically at DHSC - once they had amalgamated the GP lists they just did searches for lists of particular conditions.

That would explain why a lot of the UHCs weren't even sure why they had been picked - a forgotten bout of asthma in childhood would be treated as seriously as someone crippled with the disease.  Because your treatment had been mainly at the Hospital and across it might not show up in the same way on GP records (they may have only extracted certain items).

Let's face it's not exactly shocking that the DHSC would organise things for maximum administrative ease for themselves rather than the best for the public.

I thought they got the same number as us pro rata.

They do.  We seem to have got extra this week as well and stocks are higher, even though there have been more done this week than last.  It may be that they've released more in England for areas with high rates of the Indian variant and we've got pro-rata or simply that there was an expected increase in supply anyway.

Oddly enough there seem to have been no vaccinations done today.

I know the GP’s didn’t send the vaccination invites out. But they did provide the DHSC with the group by group lists of who to invite. As I indicated in the post you’ve quoted, I got a shield letter from my GP, and previously on here at the time, in March 2022, I posted that I contacted my GP practice ( 111 wouldn’t let me register without the GP referral to them ) and they accepted they’d overlooked me.

Fortunately online registration came in two days later. I registered on line on the basis I was CEV because I had the shield letters telling me so.

I then got 4 invitations to register (as CEV) letters in the 10 days after. Including at least 1 after my first jab.
