So they should have known.

If their plan is credible, this sounds reasonable to me. However, on current performance, which has generated a lot of public annoyance, I think that for everyone to buy this, we need to see a week by week schedule, and week by week actual performance. Without this, no-one will believe that Tim Baker and Nick Black haven’t simply made up the timeline. We certainly do. And why not

It's freely available to purchase in USA. A business colleague of mine has already purchased the equivalent of three lots of doses for vaccination next week. TheTeapot
Of course it is. That country is completely insane. Their vaccination 'plan' was to have more than 20 million people vaccinated by now. Of course, when it came to it there was no plan. I think they're around 4 million doses in now, with a whole lot of confusion.

Rather than the expected 975 vaccinations, 1141 have been completed. This seems to indicate one of two things: a) They have managed to extract 6 doses out of most vials, but not 29 of them. b) They got 6 doses out of all vials and could not find arms to inject it into as they weren't expecting the extra capacity - 29 doses went unused. Be it a or b, stating that the target is 1141 each week for a tray is difficult to rationalise. I read somewhere that Pfizer have allowed for 20% wastage in their production plans. Positives They have agreed to publish a plan and progress against it They have agreed that we need to make progress and were confident in all O50s by end may Negatives Ashford (right at the end after the questions had finished) started retracting. It changed from Imminent to "Well we should have the paperwork through in the next 3 days and then 72 hours later we will be ready to go" - or something like that. Then it all finished. And, on MR today, they are reporting that letters to over 80's are going out in 'next 7 to 10 days' whereas yesterday Ashford said 'tomorrow' i.e. today. It then seems that on receipt, you have to register that you want the vaccine and they will ring you back, when a slot opens up. Talk about an inefficent, labour intensive, slow and error prone system. 3

Everyone knows its a challenge but to keep woffling/weasel words is just silly and we won't all be fooled. Guernsey seem to be managing It almost like this has come as a surprise. It was mid Dec when the first vaccine was approved and its nearly mid Jan and we are still spluttering to a slow start
