I then reckon I would have had my sentance dropped from murder to perhaps gull-slaughter or even GBH. EDIT - I havent read the article, what did he do exactly? I suspect the Judge just wanted to punish this guy for drink driving, like Al Capone for tax evasion. If it was a slow news week why didn't they publish something positive on the front cover. As a side note lot's of people see gulls as vermin. Regardless of anything that was going on in the man's life at the time he caused injuries to a bird to the extent where it had to be put down.
