Looks pretty

sad that it’s a wish list fairly much everyone would agree with however it makes no attempt at all to explain how more can be provided for less. Apart from perhaps raising taxes which will drive investors away.

Everyone always asks how Labour plan to pay for helping people, but nobody ever asks how Conservatives plan to pay for corporate tax cuts and backhanders. Weird.

That’s the problem with elections, everyone promises everything that’s popular but no one really costs it out and details how it will be paid for.

Then they get elected and realize there’s no money to pay for the promise and this will be particularly so this coming years with Covid costs & pension shortfall

It's almost pick a Freemason time people, shall we pretend it isn't panto?

Creegen,Ashford and Peak now have to declare they are  Freemasons, which lodge and how many time they wear the goats head at meetings.  Callister, Quayle and Moorhouse will also have to declare they are Buffalos. Hooper and Baker will also have to declare they are midgets.

Like there's money to fund CS/PS additional pensions & early retirement, but no money to invest in social care & 'green' jobs?

What a ******* joke

Jees, if we're going to fill the forum with repetitions of facts then what is the point of a forum.

I still think Banker needs to get out in the sun though. He's lost now the pandemic is 'over'. Just hovering about the forum aimlessly reporting on facts.

Because we already know. It’s by cutting services and making the poor pay.

Don't know why that quote won't disappear ^^

"Peggy to be returned to Castletown for North of £5m"

One of my ideas which has been contested a bit, is paying decent specialists from the UK with relocation packages, to provide our people with much needed healthcare and then in the future make steps to turn nobles in to a training hospital and hotspot for medical tourism...

Another Idea I have, is to bolster those on minimum wage up to living wage. That's £1.94 each hour. Just moving this boat, if it only costs £5m, if we used that money instead for my plan, we would pay:
2,577,319.58 hours of labour fairly. Just from not moving a boat.

Context: that's enough to subsidise 729 peoples salaries, working 35 hour weeks on minimum wage, to living wage.

"but where does the money come from?"

Why is that only a question, when it comes to people who need better access to wealth and health?

How many Doctor's salaries could we pay for with this? With the over spend on the prom, the ever inflating price of the ferry terminal in Liverpool, the NSC overspending? Just these four projects over spending alone could have bettered the lives of thousands of locals.

We have spent HUGE amounts of money in this administration, yet public services that actually help people seem to be being stripped by the day.

You can apply this logic to everything and create an Island with healthcare and education and infrastructure and no arts and no history and no sports beyond functional health exercise

(You can get rid of quote boxes using the Backspace key (or equivalent) from a position immediately after the box you want to get rid of.)

You're making a similar mistake as Manx politicians usually do between capital and revenue spending.  You're thinking they are interchangeable and somehow £5 million will magically be available every year you don't build a shed for the Peggy.   I'm not buying a superyacht this year, but strangely £100 million hasn't appeared in my bank account.

Of course their usual mistake is believing the capital and revenue spending are unconnected and savings can only be made by slashing revenue while money thrown at capital projects is automatically good for the economy.  (Actually revenue spending is always more valuable for the economy).
